Win $200 Worth of Books!

Want a chance to win $200 worth of books from the bookseller of your choice?

Of course you do!
Then enter this amazing contest from the book contest diva, author extraordinaire, and the really cool Ann Aguirre!
[By the way, I happen to know she's really cool, not only from frequenting her blog, but also because I met Ann in July! I completely neglected to blog about a really fun evening I had last month when Ann organized an author-reader rendez vous during her stop over in the NY Metro area. About fifteen readers, bloggers, aspiring authors, and authors met with Ann for dinner and conversation at Dallas BBQ in Manhattan. I had a wonderful time talking with everyone, especially Ann who is so very smart, witty, friendly and down to earth. Now she's on my favorite person list as well as my favorite author list. :) ]

Back to the contest . . .

Ann Aguirre, author of Grimspace--the exciting, action packed sci fi romantic adventure of space jumper Sirantha Jax-is giving away $200 worth of books to one lucky reader. All you need to do is purchase Ann's upcoming novel and sequel to Grimspace--Wanderlust-- either by pre-order any time or in a bookstore on its release date this coming Tuesday, August, 26, 2008. Then post your order number or your receipt number from your bookstore receipt in the comment section of the contest post on her blog to be entered in the drawing.

Be sure to visit Ann's blog HERE for further contest details.

You must enter before midnight on September 2, 2008.

Hesitating because you haven't yet read Grimspace? Buy both Grimspace and Wanderlust next week! You won't be disappointed reading this tale of futuristic interplanetary politics, space adventures and the touching relationships of Jax and her crewmates. Especially her new found love and pilot, March. Ann keeps the action rolling nonstop and the intricacies of the plot continue to unfold right to the very end.

  6. Good luck if you enter the contest!

Kimberly :: No problem re: the link to DR. You're like a reviewing machine! I love coming by your blog to see what books are coming to my bookstore. And eventually to my own bookshelf! LOL

  7. Hey, Christine! Thank you for the Grimspace link... and you *may* want to add this one.

    Good luck, peeps!

  8. Azteclady :: Sweet! I added a link to your Grimspace review. By the way, I love chat discussion book reviews like you and Issek did--it's a fun way to get two (or more) readers' opinions.

  9. Thank you, Christine--and it's really fun getting a male's perspective on all sorts of books (I have him reading Stephanie Laurens' Captain Jack's Woman right now  )

  10. I meant to say I added a link to your new review of Wanderlust. I already had you linked for Grimspace. *rolling eyes*

That's so cool! Have you posted other reviews with Issek? I'd be interested in a guy's opinion of Nalini's Psy-Changeling series. Or the BDB.

  11. We have only done one before, a longish one for Nora Roberts' In the Garden trilogy.

It was really fun and got some nice feedback, which is why we did it for Wanderlust.

  12. Really? A NR trilogy? I'm impressed!
I'm going to go read it now...

  13. Okay, how freakin' cool is that that Nora read and commented on your duo review of her In the Garden trilogy?!? I would have squeeed, too. ;)

  14. extremely cool, indeed.

Regarding the BDB, I got him to read the first three, and has the fourth in his TBR pile but is in no great hurry to read it. I'll see if I can convince him to do an informal review of the first three, though (thanks for the idea!)

And now, time for me to crash. G'night!

  15. I think an informal review of the BDB could be quite entertaining from you and Issek. No pressure. ;)

    Night.
