About Rainshadow Road {A video from Lisa Kleypas!}

I'm so excited to share this new video with you from Lisa Kleypas. In this short video, author Lisa Kleypas shares her thoughts about her upcoming new novel, Rainshadow Road, the first book in her  Friday Harbor trilogy.  Look for Rainshadow Road in bookstores in February 2012.

  1. Oh wait! Isn't this a sequel -of sorts- of Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor? I though the hero in this story was one of the brothers... At least it takes place in the same town, right? I don't really care since I'll read it and love it regardless, but I like to keep track.

    Have you heard anything about Dream Lake? So far I only know that it will be released on 08/07 but nothing else, I'm not even sure if it's a contemporary or a historical.

  2. Gosh, Brie. You seem to be more on top of Lisa's book news than I! I should pass you my Diva crown. LOL! I originally thought that Rainshadow Road was the second book in the series featuring the three brothers, but there IS going to be three NEW books in the trilogy--Rainshadow Road, Dream Lake and I think, Crystal Cove. That's three books for three brothers, but now I'M confused because I thought Mark from Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor was the first of the three brothers... I'll try to find out and report back. :D

  3. Okay, I have some more specifics about the Friday Harbor trilogy and release dates.

    1. Rainshadow Road February 28, 2012
    2. Crystal Cove August 7, 2012
    3. Dream Lake February 13, 2013

    The covers are so pretty!

    However... I don't have the answer to your question about Christmas Eve in Friday Harbor being the first book in the trilogy even though it featured Mark--one of three Nolan brothers. Perhaps there is a family secret to be revealed later? A secret brother or sister in the Nolan family? I really don't know and the answer wasn't on the Lisa's Divas forum. Sorry! I will keep my eyes peeled for any tidbits!

  4. My understanding was that Christmas at Friday Harbor was the first in a series too. Strange. Then again, I always thought it was strange to release what ended up being the equivalent of a long novella as the first of the series and then nothing for more than a year!

    Doesn't matter. Will read it anyway!

    I would totally have applied to be a Lisa Diva but it is US only, which was disappointing!

  5. I’m a bit of a crazy fan, but just when it comes to her contemporary romances. My shameful confession is that I’m not the biggest fan of her historicals, they are good, but I’m not as crazy about them as I am about the rest.

    You are like a Kleypas’ CSI, LOL! That was fantastic research, I didn’t know about Dream Lake. I think I’m still in shock about the fact that next year we’re getting TWO novels. Maybe the last book isn’t about one of the brothers but about someone related to one of the heroines? Perhaps that character features in this new trilogy… We’ll have to wait and see.
