Meet Lulu

She's a snow-girl that my youngest daughter and I made last Friday afternoon.

I suppose it's old news by now, but the NY metro area had a little snow-rain-ice storm late last week. The roads were a slippery mess before noon on Friday and consequently, the kids were dismissed from school at 12:30 pm. And what's a snow day without a little romp in the snow, so Anna and I got busy rolling, packing and piling snow to build a snow-girl. We brought her to life with eyes, a nose, mouth, hair, buttons down her front, and even earrings! We stepped back to admire her and my daughter said, "Her name is Lulu." And that was that. :)

  2. Lulu is a beauty. I could make a ridiculous snow person with all the snow that's been dumped on us here in Portland. Close to 2 feet out front. Sad, sad, sad state of affairs. :(

  3. LULU looks absolutely precious. Being on the west coast and having no snow to play with I wishing for a while christmas, but content with what I have.

Take care my dear friend xoxoxo
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones

  4. Lulu is beautiful Christine!

What a wonderful way to spend a snow day with your daughter. We got 2 huge dumps of snow here in Toronto within 2 days and have 2 feet on the ground. We are supposed to get more tonight.

    Definitely a white Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.

  6. Oh my, Lulu is awesome! And frankly, so are you, Christine--it's not every mother who'll play in the snow with her kids in snow day!

(Glad to "see" you, I've been a tad worried about you)

Hope the house is coming along right on time and that your holidays are joyful.

  8. I like Lulu :).

I would love to be able to make a snowman with Devin with all this snow that dumped over the weekend, but I just can't handle the cold. It gets right under my skin and I can't get warm. Drives me nuts!

  9. aww, Lulu iz cuuute! It's been quite a while since I made a snowperson. But that's ok, I'm not asking for snow. At least not during my vacation time. Now if it happens during the workweek and work/school gets cancelled, that's another matter.... ;)
