The Never Ending Meme!

Amy C tagged me for this meme. Whew, it's the never-ending list because you add a question at the end!

1. What is your occupation?
Housekeeper, Accountant, Nurse, Cook, Tutor, Chauffeur, Personal Assistant (to husband), Elder Care Giver (to my father-in-law), Landscaper/Gardener, Entertainment Director, Party Planner, Therapist (what? I have a teenage girl!).... did I miss something?

2. What color are your socks right now?
Not wearing any but if I were they would be white.

3. What are you listening to right now?
My husband playing guitar.

4. What was the last thing that you ate?

6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Mauve.  I asked my family. Husband said mauve and both girls said pink, so be it.

My contractor.

8. Do you like the person who sent this to you?
Very much so.

17. What was your favorite toy as a child?
My baby dolls.

18. What is your favorite, fall or spring?
No answer. That's like asking a mom who her favorite child is! The bottom line is that I love the change of seasons.

19. Hugs or kisses?
Hugs and kisses from my husband or children. Hugs from anyone else.

20. What kind of pie?
Yes. Oh, wait. I have to pick just one? It's a tie between Blueberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, or Apple. With ice cream, of course. Ooo! Or pumpkin pie! Argh! I can't pick one.

21. Living arrangements?
I live in a house with my husband, two daughters, elderly father-in-law and four cats.

22. When was the last time you cried?
Friday afternoon because of the idiots in my town's building department who are on some pathetic power trip, making my application for construction a grueling process and delaying it by weeks just because they can. Even my contractor says their actions are becoming abusive. Assholes.

Ok, now it is my turn to tag two people. I tag dd03, DarlingDiva. I'll also tag Katiebabs because good things come in threes. No worries if you don't want to play. If you do, don't forget to ask your own new question! :)

  1. Great job, Christine! I love that you're listening to your hubby play guitar. Is he good??

  2. Now I know the names of your kitties. LOL

  3. Devin wants a guitar! He keeps asking for one for Christmas. It would be neat for him to learn how to play.

And now that I see your answer for occupation, yeah, I'm not lazy for being a homemaker!! LOL

And, yeah, I concur, freakin assholes!! ;)

  4. Having read that, I feel more adept to stalking you now. Heh heh heh.

  5. MK :: I love when he plays. He was just playing chords from random songs. One of my favorites is the song Fragile by Sting. It gives me the shivers. He's one of those talented people who can listen to a song and then fiddle around with the guitar or piano and be playing it perfectly in twenty minutes. I'm at the complete opposite end of the musical talent spectrum. As in, I don't have any!!! LOL

Jace :: Maybe I'll make a post about them one day. I certainly have some cute pictures.

Amy :: You should get him one! There's only one way he'll learn. Besides Guitar Hero, that is.

I can't even talk about what those idiots in the building department are doing. It just gets me more aggravated. My contractor even says that it borderlines with abusive the way they are stringing us along for nothing and not communicating with us despite our frequent phone calls and both of our occasional in-person presence in the building office. People assure me not to take it personally, that they do this to everyone, but how can it not be personal when they are intentionally being difficult and and antagonistic without good reason? ARGH!!

The good thing is I just got an email from my architect who couldn't believe I still didn't have approval and he said he's going to take care of everything on Wednesday. Let's just hope what he provides the town will get my application approved once and for all. And they don't take their sweet time re-reviewing the whole project all over again.

Phew. I'll stop now. Sorry for the rant.

Wendy :: Ha. Ha. Did you learn anything interesting?

  6. I love your answers, and that you love the smell of your grandmother's rose garden. And yes, the cats from the humane society are always the best and most loving.

  7. Christine, I did! Your powder blue VW bug sounds like it was so cute! :)

  8. Ohh hey girl...sorry for not getting on this sooner. I will take care of this tonight. My dear friend and roomy had emergency exploratory surgery on Monday and was in the hospital all weekend so I did not get online much.
