Anna's first day of high school. :) |
I can't believe I've got one off to college and now my baby is in high school! All these wonderful milestones for my girls which are really super fantastic, yet at the same time kind of suck for mom and dad. I'm not gonna lie.. I cried after dropping Anna off at school today. I know it will get easier with time and probably sooner than later, but in the meantime, I'm trying not think so much about how grown up and independent my girls are getting every day. Even though I know that's really a good thing.
If you've got kids back in school, how's it going for you?
For everyone, whether you have kids at all or not, what's your favorite school or office supply?
I love those little post it tabs. I sometimes use them to mark favorite quotes or passages in books I'm reading or recipes in magazines or cookbooks. So handy.
And have you seen the new white-out pens? They're not so new.. I bought one last year and they are the BEST! Not that anyone writes on paper a whole lot anymore.
My kids actually like school and that makes me happy :) They're good kids thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteFave school supply? I've never thought about it, lol
Hour daughter is just beautiful, four years will fly.

Hugs!! I can't imagine...I cry when my two year old starts acting too big. ;) I hope your girls have great years this year! Lots of new adventures.
ReplyDeleteColored pens are my weakness. Love them. I also love the little tabs and use them for cookbooks but Elle loves them too so I have to keep them hidden!
Awww. It's so hard not to hear about their day each eveming. For me, that was the worst. Oh, and not saying good night each night knowing he was safely tucked into his bed. It gets a litfle easier, but not a ton.
ReplyDeleteYay for Anna starting high school! Such an exciting time. Remember when our kids were little? *sniff*
My boys got closer while Jeff was away at college. One plus :-)
The first day of high school is always exciting. I hope the day goes well for her. Out here, lunch is a problem the first couple of weeks because of crowds and of course the teen refused to take a lunch so I remember grumpiness until the cafeteria lines died down.
ReplyDeleteAww, Happy Belated First Day of School! It's so very hard to watch our children grow and not need us as much. I remember being excited every time they reached a goal or milestone and now I wish to goodness I could slow down time. Take heart in the knowledge that you are fantastic parents who still have loads to teach, advice to give as well,as support. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first day I went to school without my sister (she started Prep School and I was still in Middle) and it was kind of crazy but awesome at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI hope both your girls do great in this school year. :)
Gosh it seems so late to start school - mine started 3.5 weeks ago! :) Anna looks adorable and so grown up! I hope she has a wonderful year.
ReplyDeleteIt goes so fast, doesn't it? I can't get over that my daughter is in kindergarten already let alone my oldest being in junior high. I get a bit sad too so I try not to think about it too much :) LOL!
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up fast, don't they!?!
ReplyDeleteI don't have children but I remember the first day of school... where has time gone to? The older you get the faster it runs from you...
