REMINDER: In Death Reading Challenge this week

Just a reminder that if you're participating in the In Death Reading Challenge, we're in the last week of February already, so if you haven't already started, now would be a great time to pick up that next In Death book.

I'll be making a post over the weekend with another Mr. Linky so you can report your latest read.

Remember that you don't have to write a book review for the challenge. You can write up any kind of commentary about the book you read or about the series in general, or you can simply link to your list of books on your blog.

Don't forget that I'll be doing a drawing in April for the participants who have read or listened to an audio book version of an In Death book each month from January through April, so you'll need to link up this weekend to be eligible for the prize. If you fell behind or are starting late, go ahead and read what you need to in order to catch up.

I'm determined to finish my current read in the next day or so, so I can hurry up and get to Vengeance In Death, which is book six in the series. I understand that Vengeance In Death is a favorite among many readers of the series, so I'm looking forward to it with a little more anticipation than usual. And look! It's another one of my 'Blue Lady' covers!

Have a great week reading!

  1. Ooh, this post is quite timely as the latest In Death book releases on the 23rd (um, today actually, I'm up late). I already have my copy of Fantasy in Death on hold at the library. Best wishes on starting the sixth book!

  2. Oh wow! That's a cool coincidence. NR is writing these books about as fast as I can read them. I'm never gonna catch up. LOL!

I hope you get Fantasy In Death from the library ASAP! How soon after the release date does your library usually get new releases?

  3. I had to check what that Vengeance was all about - and yes, it is one of my favorites so far. This month I've read 2 ID stories and will report them when you do your monthly post...

  4. Our library is very good about releasing popular authors books right on the publisher release date. And you can't get any more popular than Nora Roberts/JD Robb. *G*

  5. Finished Survivor in Death with my beloved, and read Visions in Death myself. I'm a few chapters into Promises in Death now.

  6. Maija, that's great!! I can't wait to hear which stories you read and what you thought of them. I still haven't started Vengeance ... Ho!

Brandy, good news! I hope you like the latest installment.

azteclady, what do you do?! Read the ID books over and over and over and over? I'm so impressed! Was Vengeance In Death one of your favorites?

  7. I still have one book to go to be up to date, although soon I think it will be two if I don't read it before Fantasty In Death is released :)

  8. orannia, do you not get J.D. Robb releases at the same time there as in the US? Because Fantasy In Death was released yesterday. :)

  10. I just started it last night and it is quite enthralling from the get-go. I think the fact that Roarke is tied to the victims adds a TON of intrigue and emotional depth to the story.

  11. I just found this challenge. I'm working on it! I gave my books to a friend and now I'm trying to get them back. Does it matter if I go out of order?

  12. Yesenia, it's fine by me if you read them out of order, but I think you'll enjoy the series more if you read them in chronological order. That way you get the most out of the characters and their relationships as they progress. I'm so happy to have you aboard the challenge! :)

  13. Great! I think I posted 3 reviews this month. I may even get to the 4th if the mood strikes me this week. I'm currently reading Judgment, and may get my review up before the end of the month.

  14. Actually, Survivor in Death is my favorite of the series, with Innocence, Strangers, Conspiracy and Imitation among the top.

And yes, I re-read these novels a lot. Whenever I'm in a reading funk, I can count on any (or several) of them to entertain me.
