This particular beach is the furthest north along the shoreline. . just south of Manhattan.

luv46kdz, You know, we get dolphins at the Jersey shore, too! They're so social and curious.. swimming alongside boats the way they do. We also had shark sightings in New Jersey this summer! Yikes!

Brandy, Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm for my athletic [and other!] adventures. It means so much to me. :)

I have to read the next assassin book soon! And I'm reading Anna Karenina now, too. Over. My. Head.

samantha.1020, Hooray for a successful garden for you, too! Nothing beats homegrown tomatoes, right?

Chinoiseries, I think the cats are really trying to hide our books from us when they lay on them like they do. "Pay attention to ME! Not this book that you can't see underneath me." LOL! ;) Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00420773211895134710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661609629555743722.post-84694128585709022092012-10-21T09:04:58.838-04:002012-10-21T09:04:58.838-04:00What's up with cats and claiming books? ;) Bea...What's up with cats and claiming books? ;) Beach days seem so far away... I'm notoriously bad when it comes to keeping anything green alive so I was pretty proud of myself. And I haven't been doing my monthly recaps lately either. I'm not sure if I'll do them next year or not but I've let it fall by the wayside recently. It sounds like you had an amazing month in September! And the beach pictures look amazing. samantha.1020https://www.blogger.com/profile/04124614710493747821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661609629555743722.post-38511290440433969652012-10-19T22:47:01.839-04:002012-10-19T22:47:01.839-04:00I knew you could surf in N.J.! *g* You had a great...I knew you could surf in N.J.! *g* You had a great September. I am so proud of you for participating in the Gran Fondo. You've definitely been on a paranormal kick. I keep meaning to try the Assasin series by Jennifer Estep. One of,the best things is being at the beach here and seeing the surfers and dolphins!

What's really crazy is that Oct os halfway gone!!!

PaulaPaula Calvanicohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071152704222978446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661609629555743722.post-351175015147269082012-10-19T12:39:21.389-04:002012-10-19T12:39:21.389-04:00I had a really unadventurous month, so I'm liv...I had a really unadventurous month, so I'm living vicariously though your recap!
I didn't know the beaches in New Jersey were like that, it looks pretty. I'm really more used to beaches in the Pacific. I'm sure you loved it as much as I did.

I bet the Atlantic is REALLY cold up by you! Even in a wet suit! Brrr!

I had so many cherry tomatoes at one point, we couldn't eat them fast enough. I made a fresh tomato sauce with them and it was SO delicious!

Hilcia It is a bit of a surprise to see surfers in NJ, isn't it? I guess it's mini surfing compared to other oceans in the world, but that's ok. It's enough to get out there and enjoy the sport. :)

You can still join Carl's R.I.P.! Just add your name to the sign up post linky and then you can link your reviews of books and such over on the review site. It's pretty easy. You don't even have to do a post about it. Are you going to read this month's book club pick? It fits the thriller theme and it's a short one. I hope you do. :)

I'm glad you like my adventure posts. Thanks for saying so. xo
It's better if I write them at the end of that month or the first day or two of the next. Otherwise it's a struggle to remember what I did. lol!!

Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00420773211895134710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661609629555743722.post-13303383183433720342012-10-19T10:38:53.844-04:002012-10-19T10:38:53.844-04:00Love the picture of the surfer! I always read them and love to catch up on your latest doings. You're such a busy bee. :)

I'm also enjoying reading lots of suspense, thrillers, mysteries and PNR at the moment. I've been on that kick for over a month. Now I'm sorry I didn't join Carl's R.I.P VII. That would have been fun. :) Hilciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17765831808358693421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661609629555743722.post-39991650993987937052012-10-19T10:36:47.780-04:002012-10-19T10:36:47.780-04:00Huge Congrats on the Gran Fondo, Christine!!! We get surfers up in our area of the Atlantic, too - the water must be freezing!

September was my trip to Scotland - excellent time and great memories. But October is back to the daily grind...and using up all the cherry tomatoes, we, too, had a bevy of the little fruit :)Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13297537075103893956noreply@blogger.com
