Happy Thanksgiving

I'm thankful for the wonderful friendships I've made through blogging over the years and wish every one of you a very, very happy Thanksgiving. This goes for my friends outside the US as well, because I'm thinking of you today, too. ; )

  3. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Tracy, as a matter of fact, I am! Already baked a pumpkin pie, an apple pie and cornbread [for the stuffing] this morning. Cranberry sauce is next, then I'm going on a run. After that I'll start cooking the vegetables, stuffing and turkey [I'm roasting a breast only].

    Are you cooking today, too?

  10. Thanks for the Thanksgiving greetings everyone! It was a great day. : )

Angie! You were in charge of the two BEST parts of Thanksgiving meal: the stuffing and pie! Yum! I love pecan pie, too, but very rarely make it because it's so rich. I want a piece right now, though. :)

nath, I used the maple syrup that you gave me in both my cornbread and pumpkin pie recipes. I thought of you while I baked and with every yummy bite! Thank you. :)

  11. Hope you had a great day! We had a wonderful one filled with lots of yummy dishes and desserts. Sadly I won't be able to work it off since I blew my darn knee out and I'm now on crutches!! Hubby's ortho surgeon saw me 1st thing Wednesday and says I probably need surgery :(

Figures just when I start running....

  13. Paula, Glad to hear your thanksgiving was delicious, but OH NO! about your knee! That's terrible news. Let's be hopeful that you can pull through with time and PT and avoid surgery. Keep me posted. xo

Sean, thankful for codine?! YIKES! What happened to you?

  14. Persistent migraines, which have no obvious explanation.

  15. All that cooking in your kitchen sounds great, Christine.

No, I didn't cook - except for my sweet potatoes which are yummy. I didn't feel like knocking off the family this year - which is what would have happened had I cooked. :)

  16. Sean, that sucks and I feel your pain. I get random migraines one or two times a month--thankfully not as persistent as yours sound, but still. I know how debilitating they are. I have a prescription medication for them, but sometimes even that doesn't help at all. And you're a teacher, right? I can't imagine trying to get through that kind of day with a migraine.

Tracy, LOL! Your cooking can't be THAT bad!! :P
